Information we collect

We collect the contact, account, order, and delivery information needed to provide products and services. A shipping address is required only when an order will be delivered. Local pickup orders do not require a customer address.

Credit card payments

Credit card and billing details are entered directly in Helcim's secure payment window. Fast Lane Parts does not receive or store your full card number and does not separately collect a billing address during Helcim checkout. We retain limited transaction information needed to confirm and support the order, such as payment status, amount, transaction reference, and limited card details returned by the processor.

Helcim processes payment information under its Canadian privacy policy.

How information is used

We use personal information to process orders and payments, arrange pickup or delivery, manage accounts and dealer pricing, provide invoices and customer support, prevent fraud, meet legal obligations, and send marketing messages only where consent has been provided.

Service providers

We disclose only the information reasonably needed by providers that support payment processing, shipping, email delivery, website hosting, inventory, and related business operations. These providers may process information under their own legal and contractual obligations.

Retention and safeguards

We retain information only as long as reasonably needed for orders, warranties, accounting, legal obligations, dispute handling, and account services. We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information.

You may ask to access or correct personal information held by Fast Lane Parts, withdraw marketing consent, or ask a privacy question by contacting info@fastlaneparts.com or calling 506-993-0154.

Dealer application submission records

When you attempt to submit a dealer application, we record the business name, contact name, email and phone number provided, submission time, IP address, browser information, outcome, and verification diagnostics. Browser verification failures are also recorded when the report reaches our server. These records help authorized staff troubleshoot problems and assist applicants. Contact names, email addresses and phone numbers in these diagnostic records are encrypted at rest. Records are deleted after 90 days. We do not store verification tokens, passwords, or the full application in these diagnostic records. Successful applications remain in our dealer application records.

Account access and activity records

When you sign in as a customer or dealer, we record sign-ins, session start and last-seen times, sign-outs, IP addresses, browser information, and account activity such as submitted catalog searches, selected product filters, search result counts, vehicle fitment requests, product views, selected search suggestions, storefront navigation and shopping-control clicks, cart changes, checkout requests, profile changes, and access to order documents. These records help authorized staff investigate account activity and assist with searches, fitment, and orders. They are stored by Fast Lane Parts and are separate from optional Google Analytics; these account activity details are not sent to Google Analytics.

For signed-in accounts, we also summarize search results, checkout progress, cart item counts and subtotals, and delivery-rate requests. Delivery records include the destination province, package measurements, carrier quotes, store shipping discounts, and the shipping option used when an order is created. This helps us identify search problems, incomplete checkouts, and shipping-price discrepancies. These reports do not include street addresses or payment credentials, and they are not shared with Google Analytics.

We do not record keystrokes, screen replays, passwords, full payment-card details, or the contents of contact, address, payment, or other private forms in these activity records. Search text is recorded only when a catalog search is submitted or a search suggestion is selected, not while typing. Access is limited to authorized staff. Detailed activity and shopping-report records are retained for 90 days; login totals and the most recent sign-in time are retained while the account remains open. Contact us using the details on this page to request access, correction, or deletion, subject to applicable retention obligations.

Optional analytics cookies

With your consent, we use Google Analytics to understand visits to our storefront and improve the website. Google receives website usage and browser/device information and uses analytics cookies. Google may process this information outside Canada. We do not include your contact details, addresses, payment information, search terms or private account pages in the analytics events generated by our website.

Analytics is off until you accept. You can decline without affecting shopping, or withdraw consent using Cookie preferences in the footer. Your choice is saved in this browser for six months. Withdrawing consent stops future tracking and removes this integration's analytics cookies; it does not erase previously collected data. See Google's Privacy Policy for more information.

Automated abuse prevention

We use Google reCAPTCHA on submission forms to help prevent spam and automated abuse. Google processes browser and device information and uses a security cookie for this check.
